The WIU Women's Center is happy to host Take Back the Night on April 15th, 2021. Take Back the Night is an international event to bring awareness to sexual violence and provide support for victims and survivors.

Take Back the Night Foundation®’s mission as a charitable 501(c)3 organization "is to create safe communities and respectful relationships through awareness events and initiatives. We seek to end sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual abuse and all forms of sexual violence".

The WIU Women's Center helps spread awareness, empowerment, and the opportunity to visibly put an end to domestic and sexual violence.  April is Sexual Assault awareness month and in the spirit of raising awareness, we invite you to consider sharing your story.

Please note, that you may chose to publicly share your story the day of as well. In the spirit of transparency, please note that you can chose to submit your story anonymously and the submission cannot be traced back to the individual.
